Dr. Pieter Grimbeek
Dr. Pieter Grimbeek is a well-respected and highly regarded veterinary consultant in the swine industry with more than 35 years’ experience. Dr. Grimbeek obtained his BVSc degree in Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria in 1974. He worked as a state veterinarian for one year before joining the Animal Health Divisions of firstly Pfizer Inc. and then Hoechst AG.
In 1982 he obtained a BVSc (Hons) degree at the University of Pretoria in Pig and Poultry Diseases, and in 1985 he ventured on his own.
Dr. Grimbeek consults to numerous swine producers, pharmaceutical companies and feed companies and has served on various committees and advisory boards in the South African swine environment. He is also the sole owner of Harmony Piggeries and Just Pork abattoir and a partner in Malu Pork deboning plant in Kimberley.
Dr. Christo Fick
(D21/13675)Dr. Christo Fick obtained his BVSc Veterinary Science degree from the University of Pretoria in 2019.
Dr. Fick achieved numerous milestones during his studies and ended his final year on a great highlight when he won the SAPPO award for the best performance by a BVSC final year student in: “Applied Porcine Health and production.”
In 2020 he completed his Compulsory Community Service (CCS) year in Lehurutshe (North West), where he operated animal clinics, handled clinical and surgical consultations in production, companion and wildlife animals.
Dr. Fick joined the Agri FARMACY Professional Services Inc. team in January 2021.

Frederico Bechaz
(Pr.Sci.Nat 400180/10)Fred Bechaz obtained his MSc. Animal Science (Agric) in 2001 from the University of Pretoria. Fred joined our team in 2001 and consults primarily to the swine industry. He has a sound knowledge and understanding of vitamin and mineral premixes, animal nutrition and management aspects on swine farms.
He works very closely with the consulting veterinarians on the specific farms to ensure that optimal results are achieved. Fred currently consults to many commercial swine farms with different genetics, including DanBred and PIC genetics.

Simon Kemp
Animal Scientist (M. Agric)
Simon Kemp is a director of FarmVision. He has graduated from the University of the Free State with a MSA Agric (Master of sustainable Agriculture) degree. He specialises in Pasture science and Animal science. Simon is involved at a number of dairy farmers where he does fodder flow planning, production planning and advice, animal nutrition and economic evaluation of dairy enterprises. He is as nutritionist involved at sheep and beef feedlots. He also specialises in determination of carrying capacity, farm planning and management of veld and pastures. He was also involved in the planning of a number of agricultural projects in the dairy industry in Southern Africa.

Tihanja Coetzee
(BSc Animal Science (Agric))Tihanja obtained a diploma in Nature Conservation from the Tshwane University of Technology in 2002, and worked as a nature guide until 2005, after which she obtained a BSc Animal Science (Agric) at the University of Pretoria (2006 - 2009). She expand her experience as a Diary & Herd Manager at a privately-owned farm focusing on milking process, dairy maintenance, staff management and animal husbandry. As a qualified cattle artificial insemination (AI) practitioner, she also took lead on herd management pertaining to fertility and reproduction. She also completed a course in sheep AI. Tihanja left the dairy in 2019 to tend to her own growing family, and continued to do private consulting for subsistence and emerging farmers in the far north of Namibia in her spare time. She joined the Lavendula team in 2022 as an animal nutrition technical advisor.

Animal Health Technician
Marc Raath
(BTech Animal Health)Marc Raath is a qualified animal health technician specialising in animal diseases and epidemiology. Marc is currently studying towards his Masters, based on research into welfare and behavioural actions amongst pigs in, indoor intensive production systems.
Before joining the Agri FARMACY Professional Services Inc. team in 2021, Marc gained invaluable experience working at various high-profile piggeries and other farming institutions throughout Gauteng.
Marc also received research training and has been involved in various research studies, as well as the writing of social and academic articles. During this time Marc gained exceptional theoretical and hands-on experience with regard to nutrition and medication management, biosecurity, serology and more.
